Cloud Basics is an excellent read on the inception, concepts and the future of cloud computing paradigm. As any IT professional/manager can attest, cloud computing has a dizzying array of definitions depending on which "expert" you talk to. The concept has been attributed to anything from the decade old ASP to SaaS, SoA, virtualization and everything in between.Credit to the first time author, he has put on the hat of a cloud computing evangelist and takes a valiant attempt at explaining in lucid terms what cloud computing truly is and isn't, and how this computing paradigm could very well be the culmination of the evolution of computing. The book is not from a self-professed expert and written in such an easy style that it should appeal to a novice as well as a seasoned IT professional. I certainly got my money's worth from this book and the book cleared up some concepts of cloud computing that were, err..cloudy to me before. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to understand the concepts around cloud computing paradigm and what the future holds for this exciting technology.
