At 1230 p.m. CST on 22 November 1963, John F. Kennedy, the 35th president of the United States of America, was assassinated by a gunman as he rode through Dallas, Texas. The presidential motorcade had been travelling through the city’s business district when three shots were fired at his open-topped car, hitting him in the head and showering the rear interior of the limousine with fragments of skull, blood and brain matter. Accompanying the President in the car was his wife, Jacqueline; the governor of Texas, John Connally, and his wife, the first lady of Texas, Nellie Connally. John Connally was also shot and sustained life-threatening injuries, but survived. As the car sped away towards Parkland Memorial Hospital with the president’s security detail in pursuit, both Governor Connally and his wife recalled hearing Jackie exclaim, ‘they have killed my husband…I have his brains in my hands.’ John F. Kennedy was declared dead at 1 p.m. CST. In that minute the world seemed to stand still and, even to this day, the shockwaves resulting from his untimely and tragic death continue to reverberate around the world.

There are some questionable statements which I highlighted throughout my Kindle copy of this book. What I find truly outrageous is the oft quoted media sentiment that the American public cannot accept that a so-called nobody which Oswald is alleged to have been could have killed a greatly placed President which begs the question that anyone determined could kill another, but in this case we are talking about the US President and Leader of the Free World. Too many coincidences and inconsistencies undercut the Media position of the very group that never investigated very much about the people and events tied to President Kennedy's death to begin with and relied too heavily on official government statements & press releases to report to the people. Moreover, there was too quick a reliance on Hoover's FBI which was known to ignore criminal activity and claimed the Mafia did not exist on Hoover's orders until the Appalachin episode caused Hoover to finally acknowledge the Mafia as a criminal organization.
As a barebones summary, this writing is passable. It does contain factual errors. One that stands out is the misidentification of the rank of one autopsy surgeon's-- Army doctor, Dr. Fincke, was a Lieutenant Colonel, not a full Colonel. This is a significant error because both Navy surgeon's were full Commanders, the Navy equivalent of an Army Lieutenant Colonel.
If the reader is looking for a passable summary of the key events in President Kennedy's assassination, this book will give that overview; however, it does contain factual errors and some omissions.

A revealing look at the saddest day of my life. Anyone who has not read this should do so and soon.
No new information but well structured presentation and organization of facts. Especially thought provoking was speculation regarding Secret Service failings.
Another book about his death, and we still aren't any closer to finding out who did it, it was surely not LHO
Some of it was new to me but I have read most of this in other books. I have approximately 40 books n my Fire and hard cover books.with some books, what you read in one you see in all the others.
There are some questionable statements which I highlighted throughout my copy of this book.
